► BACKGROUND — HIGH COURT PROCEEDINGS
The unregularized DRWs of Kamraj Forest Division had filed SWP No. 2205/2011 (CMP No. 3642/2011) before the Hon'ble High Court Wing, Srinagar.
The High Court disposed of the Writ Petition on 13.12.2012, directing the respondents to consider regularization cases under SRO-64 of 1994 within six weeks.
For non-compliance, Contempt Petition No. 103/2013 was filed in SWP No. 2205/2011. The High Court issued notice on 20.03.2013: "Notice returnable within two weeks. Meanwhile, respondents to comply with court order and report compliance."
A committee constituted vide CCF(K)/Estt/2003/6111-15 dated 06.01.2003 had established that 221 DRWs (not 144) should be considered as of the cut-off date 31.03.1994. Out of 83 DRWs, 61 DRWs who received first wages in 1995–96 and 1996–97 were treated as regular DRWs notionally. The PCCF forwarded all 71 case files on 05.01.2015 with a request to consider regularization under SRO-64 of 1994 "to avoid further litigation in the matter."
This is the only office that positively responded with the enclosed communication. The document confirms Shazad Ahmad Ganie (S. No. 70) is among the 71 DRWs whose cases were formally forwarded by the PCCF for regularization consideration under SRO-64 of 1994.
